Jiwaka - Banz, Papua New Guinea
The Kenneth plantation, in the Jiwaka region, is one of those unusual origins that justifies exploring specialty coffee. Grown between 1400 and 2000 masl, Arusha, Blue Mountain, and Bourbon varieties in a washed process. In filter, it opens with a floral fragrance reminiscent of jasmine and evolves into notes of milk chocolate and caramel. In espresso, it maintains that chocolatey profile and adds structure and body. A coffee that surprises from the first sip and works very well in both methods.
