
Kasese, Rwenzori Mountains, Uganda
A natural, anaerobically fermented coffee from the Rwenzori Mountains in the Kasese district of western Uganda, grown between 1,400 and 2,000 metres and processed by Agri Evolve, which works with around 2,000 smallholders. Cherries are fermented without oxygen and then slowly sun-dried on raised African beds with the pulp intact. Scored 87 and roasted for filter, it is intense and fermented with a medium body and medium-high acidity.
